Using Internet Explorer More Effectively

See Web Pages Better!

Several settings in Internet Explorer will allow you to view web page information more clearly in larger font. You can change 3 areas:

 

Tutorial 1-Zoom

Tutorial 2-View

Tutorial 3-Style.

 

1. Changing the Zoom>>

Choose the View menu.
Select Zoom.
Change the Zoom to 150%.
The page will show up in proportion.
You may have to scroll from side to side.
A 2nd way is to choose Zoom in, to increase by 25%.

Return the Zoom to 100%

2. Changing the Text Size>>

Go to the View menu and choose Text Size.
Change the Text size from Medium to Largest.
Now the page stays the same size, but the text gets larger.
However, some text may disappear behind images.

Return the Text Size to Medium.

3. Changing the Accessibility Style Settings>>

Go to the Tools Menu. Choose-Internet Options
On the General tab, in the Appearance section, click on Accessibility.

You can choose the following:
Ignore colors specified by webpages.
Ignore font styles . . .
Ignore font sizes . . .

4. Clearing Temporary Internet Files>>

Go to the Tools Menu. Choose-Internet Options
On the General tab, in the Browsing history section, click on Delete.

You will see 8 choices to checkmark for deletion.

Run the tutorial to find out which you should delete.
